このたび [ lllllCONMINIlllll ] ー コンセプチュアル × ミニマルNo.5 ーをCONCEPT SPACEとCONCEPT SPACE/R2において開催致します。
コンセプチュアルアートとミニマルアートは、１９６０年代から１９７０年代に掛けてコンテンポラリーアートの重要なムーヴメントとして世界各国で同時展開されました。この大きな動向は今も新しい概念と新しいメディアの発展によって、欧州のみならず米豪を巻き込んで再認識されています。CONCEPT SPACEは１９８２年の発足以来、一貫してコンセプチュアルアートとミニマルアートの動向と、アーティストの紹介をすすめ、欧州では高い評価を頂いております。
今回CONCEP SPACEは、昨年に開催し人気を博したコンセプチュアルアートとミニマルアートに特化した展覧会[CONMINI] No.4に、新しいアーティストを加えた[CONMINI] No.５の企画と展覧会開催を思考し、最も新しい概念美術の指針と普遍性を探る展覧会として、各国の美術関係者からのリクエストによって再展示されます。この展覧会には、アーティストやコレクターからの作品の提供から端正な美術の一つの在り方や、美術の普遍性について、または美術表現のストイシズムの方向を見極める目的も合わせもっている展覧会になるはずです。
「日本だけが、、」と言われて久しい日本の美術の中にあって、”普遍性としての美術”を再認識する機会になれば幸いです。
CONCEPT SPACEや併設するAisの活動は、明治維新以後日本に流入しつづけ定着したかに見える異文化の方法論に疑問を抱き、日本美術としてのミニマルでコンセプチュアルな精神構造は何処にあるのかを探り続けています。「自国を知るには他国を知る」。私達が“日本や群馬”に拘りまだ観ぬ未来に向けて美術に何が出来るのか。この試みが地域と世界規模での美術交流に連動した活力になる事を期待します。
尚、同展覧会は、“アートジャパネスク（DRY/LIGHT/CLEAR/SHARP）”を共通のキーワードに、２１世紀にふさわしい現代美術展をこころざします。

We will be holding [lllllCONMINILllll]-Conceptual x Minimal No. 5 at CONCEPT SPACE and CONCEPT SPACE / R2.
Conceptual art and minimal art were simultaneously developed around the world as important movements of contemporary art from the 1960s to the 1970s. This major trend is still rediscovered not only in Europe but also in the United States and America, with the development of new concepts and new media. Since its inception in 1982, CONCEPT SPACE has consistently promoted trends in conceptual art and minimal art, and introduced artists, and has been highly regarded in Europe.
This time, CONCEP SPACE will be holding a project and exhibition of [CONMINI] No. 5 where a new artist is added to the exhibition [CONMINI] No. 4 specializing in conceptual art and minimal art held last year and gained popularity It will be re-displayed at the request of art experts from around the world as an exhibition that considers and explores the guidelines and universality of the newest conceptual art. This exhibition should be an exhibition that combines the provision of works from artists and collectors with the idea of a fine art, the universality of art, and the purpose of determining the direction of stoichism of art expression. .
It is fortunate to have the opportunity to reaffirm "art as universality" in the long-standing Japanese art, saying "only Japan is ...".
The activities of CONCEPT SPACE and the attached Ais question the methodology of different cultures which seem to have continued to flow into Japan since the Meiji Restoration, and continue to explore where the minimalistic and conceptual mental structure as Japanese art is We are "To know your own country you know other countries". What can we do in art for the future we are still unseen by "Japan and Gunma"? I hope that this attempt will be a vital link to art exchange on a regional and global scale.
