各位：
この度CONCEPT SPACEとAisでは下記の要領で「MICHAL ŠKODA（ミハル シュコダ）」の展覧会を開催する運びとなりました。
ŠKODA氏の個展は２００８年以来日本で２回目になります。ŠKODA氏はチェコ共和国のバドワイズとプラハを拠点にしながら、ヨーロッパ各地で精力的に展覧会活動を展開しています。
彼の作品は、MDF素材にグラファイトやアクリル塗料をつかって極めてストイックに構築された端正な色面構成を描写しています。白、黒、グレーなどの無彩色に彩られた作品は、日本の多くの作家たちとは異なるナショナリティーと独自性あふれる表現を一貫しております。この作品群はCONCEPT SPACEやAisが推し進めている”ミニマルアート”と”コンセプトアート”の王道をゆく、模範的なコンセプトに裏付けられた最小限な表現と言っても過言ではありません。
今回２つの会場で開催される展覧会は、CONCEPT SPACEとAisにおいては［ECHOES OF SILENCE］のタイトルをもとに、紙を支持体にしたŠKODA氏の代表的な大小の作品をインストール致します。モノクロームと抑制された作品群をどうぞご堪能下さい。
CONCEPT SPACE and Ais are pleased to announce the exhibition "Michal Škoda" as follows.
Mr.Škoda's solo exhibition will be the second in Japan since 2008. Mr. Škoda is active in exhibition activities in various parts of Europe, based in Budwise and Prague in the Czech Republic.
His work depicts an extremely stoically-crafted, neat color surface configuration using graphite and acrylic coatings on MDF materials. His achromatic work, such as white, black and gray, has a consistent expression of nationality and uniqueness that is different from many Japanese writers. It is no exaggeration to say that this work group is a minimal expression backed by an exemplary concept that follows the royal road of "minimal art" and "concept art" promoted by CONCEPT SPACE and Ais.
The two exhibitions will be held at CONCEPT SPACE and Ais on the basis of the title of [ECHOES OF SILENCE], and will install representative works of large and small works of ŠKODA with paper as a support. Please enjoy monochrome and suppressed works.
